"Transitional Oil-Activated Water Dye" - The dye will first bind to oil, as the suspension is oil based. It will saturate mineral or baby oil. However, once the dye gets moving, a little reaction occurs, and the color will start binding with water (if that is in your mixture). The end result is an eye-popping Vibrant Hot Pink, which looks equally striking in oil as it does water.

I have found that these work great on an overhead projector, projecting almost as a neon-level of brightness and color. Works great under a camera as well. With regards to color pairing, I like combining it with my yellow oil dye, which brings out even more brightness and contrast.
